For some time now, I own a Creative Nomad Zen Touch MP3 player which is just great, except for one problem: the software that lets me transfer files from and to that player runs only on Windows. Of course, there are some free alternatives for Linux: gnomad2 or kzenexplorer just to name two, but I wanted to have a simple command line program. So I wrote it myself.
zencp is a command line program, that lets you copy MP3 files to Creative MP3 players that do not act as USB mass storage devices. It depends on id3lib and libnjb to do its work. Just to give you an impression I prepared this screenshot:
I thought, maybe there is somebody else on this planet, that might be interested in that piece of code. So if you want to try it, you may download it from here.
Inside of that archive, there is a README file, make sure that you really read it. zencp is a (not so) quick and (very) dirty piece of code, it works fine for me but better expect problems. If you tried it and want to give me feedback of any kind, please do so by sending me an e-Mail.
So, genug der Werbung. Vielen Dank für Ihre Aufmerksamkeit. :-)
